Actress, Glenne Headly, 'Dick Tracy' star, dies at 63

Award winning actress, Glenner Headly, passed away last night at the age of 63.
“It is with deep sorrow that we confirm the passing of Glenne Headly,” her reps said in a statement. “We ask that her family’s privacy be respected in this difficult time.” 
Headly was in production on the Hulu series 'Future Man', and the show’s executives were notified last night of her passing but the cause of her death is yet to be revealed.

The highly anticipated movie of the year, ISOKEN, will premiere in Lagos on Sunday, 11th June. The Jade Osiberu film is proudly supported by Amstel Malta, makers of low sugar malt drink.
ISOKEN, which was financed by the Bank Of Industry, first premiered at the Cineworld Cinema, Leicester Square in London to a sold out audience and only screened to select media and cinema exhibitors in Nigeria.

This story is so emotional because we all know the story of Kechi Okwuchi, the Jesuit college student who was among the 2 people that survived the Sosoliso plane crash which took 107 lives. Our very own Kechi was one of the contestants at the 2017 America's Got Talent and she succeeded in impressing the judges and audience. Simeon Cowell even gave her a standing ovation when it was all done

Nigerian who hawked pepper and did side jobs to get an education bags a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from University in Canada

A Nigerian lady who grew up in Ibadan and had to sell pepper on the streets to assist her parents, just graduated from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. Asides selling pepper, she did a lot of other part-time jobs to fund her education.

The hard-working woman just bagged bag a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering and she shared the good news together with the story of her struggles.

Mother shoots dead her two children, kills family dog, sets fire to her home and commits suicide in the middle of a 'bitter' custody battle with her estranged husband

A mother who was in the middle of a divorce and bitter custody battle shot dead her two young children as they slept and then herself while setting their Pennsylvania home on fire. 
Dr Stephen Diamantoni, the Lancaster County coroner, ruled the deaths of 40-year-old Carola Arnau and her two children a murder-suicide after autopsies Wednesday morning.

Photos: Bodies, debris recovered from the sea during search for missing Myanmar military plane

Bodies and debris have been found in the water after a Myanmar military plane vanished over the Andaman Sea with 122 soldiers, family members and crew on board.
Rescuers pulled 29 bodies of adults and eight children found by a navy ship 35km from the southern coastal town of Launglon.

Actor, John Dumelo pays condolence visit to family of slain Ghanaian soldier Major Mahama

The award-winning actor this morning paid a condolence visit to the family of late Major Maxwell Adam Mahama, who was lynched by a mob at Denkyira Obuasi in the Central Region last Monday.

John Dumelo described Mahama as 'Ghana's hero and urged the general public to disengage themselves from lynching people.

The Syrian boy whose picture tore at people's heartstrings last year after it went viral has been captured in a recent photo and he seems to be in a much better place now. Omran Daqneesh was just five years old when he was pulled out of a rubble after his house was bombed in Aleppo last year.

Singer, The Weeknd donates $100,000 to Medical Center in Uganda

Canadian singer and songwriter, The Weeknd has donated  $100,000 to the Suubi Health Center, a maternity and children’s medical facility located in Budondo, Uganda, to help fund a new clinic

According to E! News, the “Starboy” singer was motivated to make a donation because of French Montana’s work to raise awareness for the health center through Global Citizen, a social action platform, and Mama Hope Organisation in Uganda.
